4 local teams have made it to the state semifinals and are one game away from a state championship. To see who will play, next week in the state championships, let's go to the match-ups!
The most surprising team of the year is the Davie County War Eagles. They barely made the playoffs with a record of 5 - 6 but have gotten hot at the right time of the year. Can Davie County keep the dream alive or will the clock strike midnight on this Cinderella team. Pike's Picks - Davie County's strong playoff run ends, as they lose to Porter Ridge 28 - 17.
The Northern Guilford Nighthawks were one of my early picks to win a state title. They are averaging over 35 points per game in the playoffs. Can they continue on to the state title? Pike's Pick - Northern beats J.B Hunt 31 - 27.
Let's go to the ultra fast lighting round
Carver upsets undefeated Lincolnton 28 - 24
And finally Eastern Alamance's defense helps them to a victory over Havelock 34 - 24
