People can say what they want about his personal life but music would not be what it is today without his influence. My first video experience? Thriller. My first ultra-embarrassing dance move attempt? The moon walk. And admit it, we ALL wanted a red jacket with zippers.

We've loved him from the beginning but Im so glad I was able to experience seeing his family reunion tour in NYC Sept 7, 2001. He will continue to bring us many good times. He was a wonderful artist and I still cant believe hes gone to heaven. Kristi L.

Michael Jackson had a very controversial past. I do not think that anyone should decide whether he was a star or not because of that. God will make that judgement the fact is that he was very talented and everyone enjoyed his music at some point in time or another. He will be missed and my thoughts and prayers are definitlely with his family. I hope he will finally be a peace.

I am the same age as Michael so I lived his career from the Jackson 5 and through my daughter with Thriller. He was a genius and a talent like no other will ever be. He was unfairly persecuted but was vindicated in the last few weeks when the world showed they still loved him by selling out his upcoming concerts in minutes. You are loved Michael and now you will be Missed. Thank you for the gift of music and dance, and love you gave the world. These upcoming days will be sad, but you live on forever. Michael Jackson was a star! Everyone has controversy but that doesn't change the fact that he was a star or for that matter The King of Pop!! There will never be another one like him and the music industry will never be the same! My prayers are with Michael's family along with Farrah Fawcett and Ed McMahon's family's. I always wanted Farrah's hair and to be able to dance like Micheal. Sad day in or time! I loved the THRILLER album...He was just great and will be missed.

This week alone there has been so many deaths in the entertainment industry and even if we dont know the people personally it still hits home pretty hard. My prayers are with all the familes between Micheal, Farrah, and Ed McMahon. They will always be remembered as legends that made us feel as if we could do anything in the world that we want to. Memories of a time past in my life, when all things were possible and I was young and thought I would conqueor the world. You couldn't walk down the street without hearing an MJ song. He's with God now.

Michael Jackson was without a doubt the biggest influence on music than ANY other star to walk this earth! From soul, pop, to hip-hop his influence is present. My music is def influenced by him! The most famous man in the world has passed and will be greatly missed! Millions of tears are being shed! It amazes me the impact this man had...I am in AWE!!! Rest in peace Mike...your mark is made! I am always shocked to hear of someone famous passing, but I was truly saddened with this one, I grew up with Michael's music and he is a legend and although he may have done some strange things, it always gets me how we talk about other people and the bad they've done, but some of us need to take a step back and look at ourselves before we talk. I will miss Michael dearly!

Michael Jackson was truly larger than life and an inspiration to me. I grew up in the 80's and had every pin for my jean jacket and danced to his music a whole lot. I will miss you Michael!!!

Three icons in the entertainment industry were lost this week and it's very sad even if you don't know them personally. Many of us have grown up watching these people and enjoyed their talents. What I think is even sadder is the people who pass judgement when they really don't know all of the details. That was just an ignorant comment about the boy scouts being safer. If that's all you have to contribute, don't waste our time.

It is sad to lose such an influentual icon to music. He set the stage for alot of the artist today, and he will be missed but never forgotten. I am saddened by the lose, because he introduced me to dancing and to that form of hip hop. I will always bea fan of Micheal Jackson, and my condolences go out to his family. We love you Micheal.... What about all the other great stars that died this week? Farrah & Ed, ever since Michael Jackson died they had been forgotten!! He was a freak and he hasn't had anything out in over 20 years.It is a loss for many but dont forget about the courageous battle with cancer that Farrah fought!!! She was the real hero!!!

Some people really need to get a grip. Of course more people died than just Michael Jackson this week but those where expected. Everyone knew Farrah was going to die and she did fight a good battle for the past 3 years. Ed had lived a good life but he was not in good health. Michael was truly a shock. No one seen this one coming. He has been around for 47 years or more and he was truly a one of a kind and who are we to judge him for what he was accused of. We are not his judge or jury only God is. Let the man rest in peace and if you do not have anything good to say than don't say anything at all. And as for the Boy Scout remark that was completly uncalled for. I hope your own backyard is clean before you do messing in other peoples. Think about his family they are the ones suffering now and his poor kids. So many people have mixed views on actors and singers alike. Too many view their personal lives more than the music or films they star in. It's about their talent, that is what we've come to know and love them for, they gained our respect from great performances but too many people change views after seeing them off stage or off the big screen. He was the icon of pop. Thats what he should be remembered for. Nothing less.

I grew up listening to Michael and I was getting my son to appreciate the kind of music that I grew up on. The first CD that I bought for him was Thriller. I just can't believe that he is gone. He will always be missed very dearly and maybe now he can finally rest in peace. Michael you will always be the king of pop.

I have noticed that he has looked really pale for a while now.

I couldn't practice the moon walk enough when I first saw it and then when I was able to do it all the kids in school were so jealous. Thanks Michael for the memories of new dance moves and pop music that was the best.

Did M.J. moleste you as a child? Unless, you know from first hand experience, I would not make such comments. We only knew the performing artist and all can agree that he was GREAT at his job. I'm sure his family, children and friends miss him. We didn't know him. I still have the same things I had before-the music, videos etc. But it is a shame that anyone loses their life at such a young age. Oh-and I agree with the fact that to claim such things that "he hurt kids" etc. is ignorant.

They have done such a wonderful job at a tribute for M.J. this weekend. Video after video, really brings back memories. Very talented artist. Rumor has it that he has recorded 100 songs for his children to be published only after his death. So we still have a lot of great things to look forward to from Michael I know we will all buy the cds to help the children.

This station has also done a great job honoring Michael. Look forward to Murphy's show Monday. Josh & Katie done a great job Friday-sending our love to you! How about playing some songs from M.J.'s "Bad" and "Dangerous" cd. We could use more Michael. Thanks!

I grew up lisening to Michael Jackson music. I consider him one of the world's 7th wonders. He will truly be missed.

I remember all the girls in the 5th grade arguing over who was the best entertainer. All the black girls said Michael, and the white girls were split between Donnie Osmond & David Cassidy. I am white, but am also a dancer. Nobody can touch Michael's dancing, so I had to go against my race and support Michael. I would practicing dancing while I watched the Jackson 5 show every week.

Michael has been a huge inspiration in my life...I love to dance and everytime his music comes on im on the dance floor. He taught us to believe in ourselves and to never give up and to fight for what you want. Michael has the biggest heart anyone could ever have...people need to remember all the good things he did in this world, like his charities, his music that made everyone smile and dance, his love for making children happy and smile. I didnt have much of a childhood and that can affect you in the long run, so i kinda understand how michael felt. He was a true blessing and an amazing gift from GOD and he is now resting in heaven with no more worries!!!! We love you Michael Jackson. You will never be forgotten...your music will live on forever and ever!!! Rest In Peace!!!
