Triad Veteran's Coffee Events

Our second “Welcome Home”  Veteran’s Coffee in Mocksville will be held this Thursday morning, April 2.  We had over 30 Veteran’s turn out for our first one in March (in a driving rain storm).  Help us get the word out to any Veterans you know and invite them to join us this Thursday between 8:30am and 10:30am at the Sagebrush Steakhouse for FREE Sheetz Coffee and pastries.  See attached flyer.
 
Veterans from any branch of service, or time period are welcome to join us.

We also welcome government and non-profit organizations who have Veteran support programs and activities to join us and introduce themselves and their program to our Veteran attendees.

West Forsyth Class of 1985 30th Class Reunion

West Forsyth High School Class of 1985 Reunion, at Tanglewood Park Club house from 7pm until 11 pm. Tickets are 30 dollars each. Price will raise to 40.00 on August 1st. We will be raffling off various items to raise funds for the Anderson Performing Arts Center at West Forsyth High School.

All you can Eat Breakfast Buffet

The Leadership Board of Christ Moravian Church invites you to an All-You-Can-Eat Breakfast Buffet on Saturday, September 12th at  the Christ Moravian Church Fellowship Building (919 W. Academy St. Winston Salem). The cost is $8 for adults and children age 6 and older. $4 for children 5 and under. Take-out will also be available! 

Travel with Gate City Rotary from the swinging 60's where four boys from across the pond changed rock and roll, through the 80's where chords were simple, hair was big, and the power ballad was born.  We are going to have a great party to raise money for the amazing work Rotary does in our community and around the World.  

So break out your Mod outfits or your bright colors and cans of hairspray!  It's gonna be fun!!!  Prizes awarded for the best "Era" wear!

4th Annual Fall Ball Masquerade

Kisses4Kate is a 501-c3 non-profit that helps children with cancer and their families. It is a 
support organization that was started for the sake of keeping one promise to a little girl named Kate Thornton. It continues in her name helping other children afflicted with this disease. We offer support to families who are separated by hardships brought on by lengthy treatments and hospitalizations. We also provide emergency funds for mortgage payments, car payments, and utilities, in addition to monthly household and living expenses.

On September 19th Kisses4Kate will be hosting it's 4th Annual Fall Ball Masquerade from 6-11pm at the IHFC Club Level. There will be dinner, dancing, a costume contest, raffle, and an auction. Tickets are $50 and all proceeds will go to Kisses4Kate.

Hoops for a Cure presented by the PMP Research Foundation

hoops4acure.pmpcure.org is an all day basketball event taking place on September 26, to raise funds for cancer research. Start time is 8 am. 3v3 and 4v4 games ages 6 thru adult, no skill required. Dunk competition, 3 point shootout, silent auction. To be held at the Talbert Center in Mooresville, NC. 

Young Adults Conference presented by Y.A.L.L.

The 2nd Annual NC Young Adults’ Conference is an event you don’t want to miss! It promises to provide a life-changing experience for all who attend. 2015 Pork Jam BBQ Festival

Pelham Volunteer Fire Department located at 4895 Old US 29 Pelham, NC 27311 will be holding its 15th annual Pork Jam BBQ Festival on Saturday October 3rd, 2015 from 10am - 6pm. This one day event benefits the Pelham Volunteer Fire Department by allowing much needed funds to be raised to support the department and allowing us to purchase training materials and equipment. Come out and bring the family for a day of fun come hungry we will be serving up fresh BBQ and Desserts made by our Firemen! Parents we will have a Kidz Zone with Inflatables, Hay Rides, Face Painters, Petting Zoo, and special appearances! While the kids are busy parents come browse thru the 60+ arts/crafters, watch live performances from a multiple of musicians from Rock, Country, Beach, and Gospel! Concerts are "Free" to those in attendance! This will be one show you do not want to miss! In addition we will have raffles, giveaways, and drawings all day! Want to be a vendor? Please email us at porkjam@bellsouth.net for a vendor application. We expect over 6,000 to be attendance! Non Food Vendor spots are only $20 and Food Vendors are $75. Bark For Life Saturday, October 10, 2015 Southmont Elementary School 398 Owen Road, Lexington, NC 10 am - 2 pm (Check in begins at 9 am). REGISTER by September 30th to guarantee your BFL shirt and doggy bandanna. Pet/Owner look-a-like contest, Pet Costume Contest, Best Trick Contest, and much, much more! Registration: $25 for 1 dog and their human (Day of the Event $30) $40 for 2 dogs and their human $20 Human walker Dogs are wonderful caregivers and with your help will be raising money in the fight against cancer. Your support saves lives. The “Safety First” project is an IB League Club initiative in collaboration with the Girl Scouts organization to raise safety awareness amongst elementary school children. Members of the club will teach the importance of these measures through fun presentations to students of selected Guilford County schools.

We need your help in leading the effort to collect safety gear for the children. This will give them an opportunity to apply the cautious behavior while participating in fun activities like skateboarding, bike riding etc. CLICK HERE for details on how to donate.
