Greensboro Youth Council: Santa's Workshop Toy Drive





Donate your used toys to families in need during this holiday season.
Santa's Workshop Toy Drive: November 5th-December 10th.


Drop off new and gently used toys at the following locations:
  • Any Greensboro Recreation Centers: for locations click here
  • Greensboro Sportsplex: 2400 16th St, Greensboro
  • Greensboro Youth Council Office: 501 Yanceyville St, Greensboro
  • Trek Bicylcle Shop: 1209 Battleground Ave, Greensboro

Here is how you can help:
  • Clean out your attic, old toy boxes and closets at home OR buy brand new toys.
  • Bring the toys you are able to give to the toy boxes located at the following city locations: human resources, purchasing, finance & administration services, parks & recreation administration, Guilford Metro 911, safety training center, equipment services (patton ave), executive offices/legislative suite, all police substations, Greensboro Municipal Credit Union, legal, city arts, Bur-Mil Park, printshop, police administration, collections.
  • Cash donations can be made at the Melvin Municipal Building Collections window in downtown Greensboro.
        Toy Giving Guidelines:
  • All toys should be new or used toys that are unbroken and in good condition.
  • Used toys should not be rusty or too dirty.
  • Games and puzzles should be complete and have all pieces. Tape the sides of the boxes, so that the pieces will not get lost.
  • Dolls should have all parts. Place doll clothes and accessories in a plastic bag and secure them with the doll.
  • Electronics should be in working condition. Only minor repairs can be made. Batteries do not have to be included.
  • Toy sets such as building blocks and tea sets should be boxed or placed in a sealed plastic bag, so that the pieces will not get lost.
  • New stuffed animals only. No used stuffed animals will be accepted.
  • Bicycles, tricycles and riding toys should be in working condition. Only minor repairs can be made.
  • Sports equipment such as bowling or golf sets should be boxed or placed in a sealed plastic bag.
  • No violent toys will be accepted (no guns, spears, etc.).
  • Clothing and food are not accepted
