Give A Kid A Coat 2013

It's time to clean out your closest and Give A Kid A Coat! Help 1075KZL celebrate the 27th Annual Kick Off of this heartfelt promotion by donating any coats that you or your children have outgrown or just don't wear anymore to A Cleaner World triad locations. A Cleaner World's staff will clean and make minor repairs to the coats and the Salvation Army will pick them up and distribute the coats to residents in need this Winter season. Children's coats are especially in high demand but we welcome any and all donations.

Anyone wishing to contribute to the 2013 Give A Kid A Coat campaign may do so by dropping off a coat at any A Cleaner World location beginning Friday, October 11th, 2013  through Saturday, November 16, 2013. Coats will be cleaned and repaired free of charge, then given to The Salvation Army for distribution. Distribution dates and times vary by city. Please check with your local Salvation Army office for specific distribution information.

Schools that wish to participate in the Elementary and Middle School Challenge should encourage parents and students to drop off coats from October 11-25th individually at any A Cleaner World.
Please do not collect coats on site and then drop them off in bulk.
Those wishing to receive credit for their school should tell the CSR at drop off the name of their school.
A Cleaner World will keep track of the points. One point will be credited per coat up to 10 points max per family.
Points will be added up on Monday, November 5th, and the winners will be announced on Tuesday, November 6th.
Prizes are $500 for first place, $250 for second place for each division-elementary and middle school.  All prizes will be made payable to the winning school's PTA.  Letters have been mailed to area schools explaining the challenge in greater detail.
